Background required
- Bachelor’s degree or MSc in Biomedical sciences.
- Above 5 years of experience in CRO, CDO, CMO or Biopharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge in mass spectrometry analysis for protein characterisation (peptide
mapping, intact mass). - Knowledge in physico-chemistry methods (HPLC and CE) is also required.
- Highly motivated to work in a biotech environment.
- Able to work in a cross-functional approach.
- Good communication both in English and in Spanish.
- Location based on Barcelona area.
Tasks and responsabilities
- To develop MS methods approaches (MS, MS/MS – MRM, SWATH) depending on purpose.
- To prepare/propose development plans for glycans full characterisation by MS.
- To prepare/propose development plans for HPLC and CE methods.
- To write development reports and drafting SOPs.
- To train junior scientist in phsyco-chemical analysis.
- To supervise analysis performed by junior scientists.
- To communicate effectively between departments as part of the in-process control plan of every project.
- To actively participate in lab managment tasks (calibration, equipment mantainance)
- Flexible schedule.
Opportunities

accordance with AD manager. - To learn the regulatory guidelines (EMEA, FDA, ICH) applicability at diferent stages of a biologic product development.
- To propose new approaches to measure different attributes for protein
characterisation. - To actively be part of in-process control strategic analysis (sample prevision) along with process departments (USP and DSP) – if applicable.
- To be responsable of junior scientist work: training, theory explanation, supervision.
